Ken Tagg


Ken, recently retired, was the only licensee nationally to own 11 McDonalds restaurants which were spread across the Macarthur Region. In 1982, his first year, as franchisee at Minto, Ken made some innovative and lasting changes to the way in which McDonalds does its business. He is responsible for the introduction of extended trading hours at McDonalds by including a breakfast menu, continuous Happy Meals and Value Priced Combo Meals, which are now an integral part McDonalds worldwide. Ken was awarded the “Australian Franchisee of the year” in 1994 “NSW Franchisee of the year” in 1994 and the winner of the “Golden Arches Award” which recognised his achievement in the top 1% of McDonalds Owner/Operators World Wide. Ken is also a BEC Founding Director.
